Ameritrans Express LLC, is one of the nation’s leaders in Contract Delivery Service for the United States Postal Service, with offices in 22 states, is currently seeking applicants to deliver mail as a Driver on a CDS mail route in the Detroit Lakes, MN area.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have legal documentation to work in the United States
• Must be at least 19 years of age
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs.,
• Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions
• Must reside in the area or neighboring town/city
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug test

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sorting mail in delivery sequence for 415 active mailboxes
• Loading mail and parcels in delivery sequence into a delivery vehicle.
• Delivering mail to customer boxes along an assigned 100 miles line-of-travel.
• Dismounting if required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items.
• Other administrative duties are required.

MINIMUM VEHICLE AND INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Applicant must furnish vehicle, which meets postal regulations, and meet postal driving requirements.
• One (1) Dependable Passenger vehicle or a larger equivalent to providing 100 cubic feet of usable load space for mail and parcels, can be of any age so long as it is in good physical and mechanical condition. AWD or 4WD a plus.
• $100,000/$500,000/$100,000 or $600,000 (CSL) of liability insurance for contract vehicle The applicant is responsible for all the vehicle maintenance, fuel, and insurance cost.

Employment Begins: As soon as possible

• Work Schedule: 2 days/ week ( Including additional day as requested) Government Holidays observed.
• Hours: 7-8 hours per day
• Salary: $ 170.00 /per day
• Health and Welfare, Vacation, and Holiday Compensation are already calculated included in pay rate
